I love to have this hot apple cider simmering away all day on Christmas, it smell as good as it tastes.

This eggnog is great too (it literally takes 2 minutes to make).

Hot Apple Cider

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Litres Apple Juice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Cardamon Pods
  • 10 Fennel Seeds
  • 1 Small Orange
  • 15 Cloves

Instructions
 

  • Pour the apple juice in a slow cooker or pot and turn on low
  • Poke the cloves into the orange and place into the apple juice, along with the cinnamon stick
  • Put the spices into a tea bag and add to the pot
  • Allow to simmer covered for at least an hour
