Bubble Tea

This post is purely to remind me how to make it. I’m not an expert at this!

Make simple syrup. 1:1 (1 cup sugar and cup water), heat until all the sugar disolves. Place in fridge to cool.

Use 1 cup of pearls to 6 cups water, I used this brand from Osaka. It took quite a long time to hydrate but the end result was great.

To cook the pearls boil for 15 minutes, cover and let sit for 15 minutes. Strain and rinse, if they are not fully translucent repeat the boil/sit process.

I did this 3 times for these particular pearls.

Once they are translucent and rinsed in cold water, add to simple syrup.

Store in fridge for up to 2 days- they will begin to disintegrate

Steep any type of tea- we used chai.

Mix equal parts tea and soy milk.

Add 1/4 cup pearls and syrup to taste.

Mix and enjoy!
