Chai Tea

After a lot of testing- this is our tried and true recipe that we make every weekend.

Cook Time 25 minutes
Servings 5

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 15 Whole Cloves
  • 4 Whole Cardamon Pods
  • 1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 6 Whole Peppercorns
  • 2 Inches Raw Ginger Sliced thin
  • 6 Cups Water
  • 5 Black Tea Bags
  • 2 Cups Soy Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar Or up to 1/2 Cup

Instructions
 

  • Slightly crush cardamon and peppercorn. Add all spices and water to medium pot.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags, add milk and sugar.
  • Strain into a teapot or mugs.
